ANGLO-SAXON, Secondary Sceattas. Circa 725-745. AR Sceat (12mm, 1.23 g, 12h). Type 30b. Mint in the East Midlands. 'Wodan head', with long beard, facing; saltires flanking beard / Two figures standing facing; long cross between, set on triangular base with trefoil, pellets above; triple border (the middle linear, the others pelleted). Abramson 105.70; North 171; SCBC 835; CNG 75, lot 1399. Good VF, find patina, some green.
