Italy, Girolamo Pesaro (1481-1550), bronze medal, as superintendant of Terraferma, 1522, bust left in hat, rev., inscription and date, 30.6mm (cf. Hill 545 var.; Toderi/Vannel 726 var.), fine contemporary cast. As Hill mentioned, the obverse is a re-issue of an earlier medal of the sitter made in 1515 (Hill 544). The present medal however is a hybrid showing the altered hat of the later medal but retaining the original draped bust of the earlier one.
