The immortal bard seated atop a rock flanked the Dramatic Muse and Genius of Painting, rev. 15-line legend, radiate lyre and olive-branch above, date below. Edge engraved to subscriber: BENJAMIN BABBAGE ESQR. (possibly the merchant and banker [1753-1827] and father of Charles Babbage, father of the computer). Eimer 950, BHM 553. Very slight rim bruise 2:30 reverse. Lustrous Uncirculated.
