Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III 'the Great'. 336-323 B.C. AR drachm (16 mm, 4.26 g, 12 h). Kolophon, under Philip III, ca. 322-319 B.C. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress / [ΑΛΕ]ΞΑΝΔΡ[ΟΥ], Zeus seated left, holding eagle and scepter; in left field, grain kernel; in outer right field, spear head (off flan). Price 1750. Very fine.
