Wreath within two pellet lines, spike with two large pellets and sunburst across; below, rings and wing motif / Double-tailed annulate horse left; below, ring and large wheel; above, two rings and large wheel with pellet rim. ABC 2103; Van Arsdell -; BMC -; SCBC -. Extremely rare. Worn obverse die, otherwise extremely fine.

The coins of the East Wiltshire cantonal groups are a fairly recent discovery, having first been suggested by Derek Allen in 1961 then given numismatic credence by the archaeologist Paul Robinson in 1977. Coin finds suggest that a small tribe or sub-tribe was centered on the Vale of Pewsey between the Thames and Kennet Rivers for a short time at the beginning of the second half of the first century B.C. until they were absorbed by a larger tribe, probably the Dobunni. We do not know the name of this tribe living in the Vale of Pewsey, but with the exception of one type that is merely scarce, we do know that all of their coins are very rare with at most a small handful of known specimens of each type.
