Phoenicia, Tyre. Elagabalus. A.D. 218-222. Æ (28 mm, 9.81 g, 12 h). Laureate and cuirassed bust of Elagabalus right / Astarte standing facing within hexastyle temple, erecting a trophy and holding scepter; behind her, Nike standing left on short column, crowning her with wreath; in exergue, murex shell, altar and palm. SNG Copenhagen -; AUB 226; cf. BMC Phoenicia 393. Brown patina, surfaces a touch rough. Very fine.
