ATTICA. Athens. Circa 224/3-198 BC. (Bronze, 11 mm, 1.98 g, 10 h), Triptolemos in winged car to left. Rev. [A] /Θ-E Plemochoe; to right, wheat ear. Agora XXVI, p. 54, note 87. Svoronos Pl. 103, 47-49. An extremely rare issue. Green patina with earthen highlights. Both sides slightly off-center, otherwise, very fine.
From a European collection formed before 2005.
This small coin is surprisingly rare: no specimen was found in the Agora and Svoronos was only able to illustrate three (one each in Athens, Berlin and London).
