MYSIA. Pergamon. circa 166-67 BC. Cistophoric Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 12.39 g, 12 h), 76-67 BC. Cista mystica from which snake coils; all within ivy wreath. Rev. Two serpents entwined around bow and bowcase; ΠΕΡ monogram to left, thyrsos to right. Kleiner & Noe Series 24a. Pinder 77. SNG France 1707. Lustrous and very attractive. Overstruck probably on a same type. Traces of the host coin still visible on 6-8h. About extremely fine.
