Caracalla, 198-217. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.26 g, 12 h), ANTONINVS PIVS AVG Laureate and draped bust of Caracalla to right. Rev. ADVENT AVGG Galley left, with eight rowers, signum, and aquila at stern; an officer standing right in the middle of the galley and giving a report or saluting the three seated Imperial figures. BMC 267. Cohen 3. RIC 120. Well centered, a particularly nice example for this issue. A spectacular reverse sharply struck and with all details clearly visible. Extremely fine.
