KINGS of PARTHIA. Phraates II. 132-126 BC. AR Drachm (19mm, 3.61 g, 12h). Local imitation of a Nisa mint issue. Diademed bust left; retrograde NICΛIΛ down right / Archer (Arsakes I) seated right on omphalos, holding bow. Cf. Sellwood 16.9 (for official issue); Sunrise –; cf. Shore 49 (same). VF, rough surfaces. Apparently unique imitative variety of a very rare type.
