Lincoln Cents
1922 1C No D, Strong Reverse, FS-401, AU58 PCGS. As seen on all authentic No D cents, the obverse is weaker than the reverse -- a result of die resurfacing that effaced the mintmark. This example is, comparatively speaking, sharp on the obverse and quite sharp on the reverse. To be sure, the obverse legend is weak as is LIBERTY and the portrait lacks sharp definition, but the surfaces are glossy and attractive. The reverse is pinpoint sharp without discernible wear. The derby-brown surfaces cast quicksilver highlights. Population: 59 in 58 (1 in 58+), 39 finer (5/17).
