1927-D 5C MS65+ PCGS. CAC. Although plentiful in MS63 and MS64, the 1927-D Buffalo nickel becomes distinctly elusive at the Gem grade level, and finer pieces are rare. This Plus-designated CAC coin displays an impressively bold strike for the period from fresh dies that lack significant erosion in the fields and recesses. Warm golden toning graces unabraded, satiny surfaces. Population: 80 in 65 (8 in 65+), 7 finer. CAC: 21 in 65, 1 finer (5/17).
