Territorial Gold
1855 $20 Kellogg & Co. Twenty Dollar XF40 PCGS. K-3c (not listed in Kagin), R.5. This impressive XF40 specimen employs the Short Arrows reverse, and the obverse shows the O in CO embedded in Liberty's hair, with all the digits in the date located left of the curl, identifying the elusive K-3c variety. The K-3c was discovered after Don Kagin published his series reference on Territorial issues. This attractive XF specimen shows some light wear on the well-detailed design elements and the lustrous orange-gold surfaces show the normal number of minor abrasions for the grade. Listed on page 406 of the 2018 Guide Book. Housed in a green label holder.
