Lincoln Cents
1929-D 1C MS66 Red NGC. As with many mintmarked Lincoln cents from the 1920s, a reasonable mintage does not equate to availability in high grades. The 1929-D is elusive in Gem and better condition. MS66 Red is the finest one can hope for, as neither NGC nor PCGS has certified a numerically finer example. The surfaces on this piece are lustrous, with even, peach-red color and a minimum of microscopic carbon. The obverse shows moderate die erosion. Census: 5 in 66 Red, 0 finer (5/17).
