Mercury Dimes
1921 10C MS64 Full Bands NGC. A fleeting hint of lemon-gold at the obverse rim frames the snow-white brilliance of this essentially untoned, semikey date in the immensely popular Mercury dime series. The bands are full and rounded, disturbed by only a few tiny ticks on the fasces. Struck from dies showing fatigue at the borders, the coruscating mint luster and frosted surfaces easily achieve the assigned near-Gem grade. NGC reports only 87 numerically finer examples (5/17).
