Seated Quarters
1863 25C MS64 PCGS. On the West coast, it was coinage as usual at the San Francisco Mint throughout the duration of the Civil War, but it was another matter in Philadelphia as silver and gold coinage production was nearly halted. This piece is one of the rare survivors, exhibiting brilliant silver luster and bold design motifs beneath light gold toning. Population: 17 in 64, 29 finer (5/17).
