1934-D 25C Heavy Motto MS67 NGC. This virtually pristine Superb Gem is lustrous and sharply struck. Light tan-gray toning is predominant except for a crescent of sea-green and ruby-red on the reverse exergue. The 1934-D is a semi-key date in any Mint State, and the issue is extremely rare at the MS67 level. Both the 1934 and 1934-D have Medium Motto and Heavy Motto varieties. Despite their significant difference in appearance, the Guide Book does not distinguish between the 1934-D motto varieties and omits the 1934 Medium Motto. Census (Medium and Heavy Motto varieties combined): 8 in 67, 0 finer (5/17).
