1883-S $1 MS63 NGC. While the S-mint Morgan dollars from the early 1880s are readily obtainable in the highest grades, the 1883-S is decidedly scarce any finer than this well-defined Select example. Brilliant centers give way to mottled russet and gunmetal toning at the borders. Minimally marked and frosty.
