1873 $20 Closed 3 MS60 PCGS. Closed 3 1873 double eagles are much scarcer than those with an Open 3. The change came early in the year after complaints that the 3 too closely resembled an 8. All Mint State survivors are very scarce, including this MS60 with frosty luster over green and rose-gold surfaces. Myriad bagmarks define the grade. Population: 33 in 60, 32 finer (5/17).
