1869 10C Standard Silver Ten Cents, Judd-703, Pollock-782, High R.6, PR66 NGC. Standard Silver design with the head of Liberty facing right with a diadem in her hair, motto below, and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA above. The reverse has 10 CENTS in the center, surrounded by a wreath of oak and laurel, with STANDARD SILVER 1869 around the margin. Struck in silver with a plain edge. Violet-gray patina drapes the obverse, while the other side is primarily cobalt-blue. The motifs are fully struck throughout, and preservation is phenomenal without any noteworthy contact marks. An exemplary example of this exceedingly rare ten cent pattern.
