An interesting coin struck by the pair of dies O1-R2 (see plate 55 in our book The Coins of Herod (Brill 2012). The reverse die R2 is the same as the plate coin GBC 1183, but the obverse O1, with its irregular lettering - including a W-like omega at 2:00 - is extremely rare (5 examples are known). Est. 500-550
