Gently brightened in the past and now lightly retoned with only a handful of ancient scratches to detract, the overall preservation of this piece is far above-average. Much residual luster remains, not only in protected areas but throughout the fields as well, highlighting the charming portrait of Charles on horseback as well as his ornate coat of arms and the stunningly clear legends and mintmarks.
