Magnentius standing right, foot on seated captive; holding labarum and spear; in field, III-monogram VAL; in exergue, ASIS. RIC 318. Bastien 517. AE. g. 4.75 mm. 23.00 RR. Very rare and superb. Minor area of flatness and traces of smoothing on reverse, otherwise EF/about EF. This very rare coin was struck when Magnentius occupied Siscia for about a month on September 351 AD. Constantius soon regained the city and resumed striking coins there in his name.
