Seated Dimes
1838-O 10C No Stars, F-102, R.3, MS64 PCGS. The 1838-O dime was the first of the series struck at the fledgling New Orleans Mint. It is also the last No Stars issue and the only No Stars issue from a branch facility. Though its substantial mintage and historic nature should make the '38-O readily collectible in Mint State, it is instead very scarce. The present Choice example displays golden-tan, rose-red, and navy-blue toning over well-preserved surfaces that radiate vibrant mint luster. The design elements are well-detailed and overall eye appeal is outstanding. Population: 35 in 64 (3 in 64+), 5 finer (6/17).
