Seated Quarters
1847-O 25C MS62 PCGS. Briggs 1-A. A thin die crack runs from the cap through Liberty's hand to the shoulder, while the reverse shows an entire network of cracks throughout the legends and eagle. At the time of writing his standard reference in 1991, Larry Briggs noted a single Uncirculated example. He clearly had not seen this piece. Lively luster beneath champagne-gold patina delivers pleasing eye appeal. Better struck than usual, especially on Liberty's head and the stars. Marks are in line with the grade. Population: 3 in 62, 4 finer (6/17).
