1786 COPPER Vermont Copper, VERMONTENSIUM, RR-6, Bressett 4-D, W-2020, R.2, VF35 PCGS. Although this piece is imperfectly centered and somewhat unevenly struck, it is an exceptional example for the grade with glossy olive-brown surfaces and great eye appeal. A minor edge flaw is noted at 3 o'clock. The Landscape format appeared with the dates 1785 and 1786. In the latter year, the Vermont coppers were redesigned to feature a bust on the obverse and a seated figure on the reverse, and that new style continued into 1787 and 1788. Listed on page 74 of the 2018 Guide Book.
