1783 COPPER Washington & Independence Cent, Large Military Bust, Vlack 6-E, Musante GW-109F, AU55 PCGS. A late state of the obverse showing a break through the W into the coat and through the 7 into the bust. Musante describes this variety as "Very Scarce," his designation for the most plentiful varieties. Smooth olive and chocolate-brown surfaces exhibit an old scratch at the upper right reverse. There are 10 varieties of the Large Military Bust pieces known, providing quite a challenge for the fastidious collector. Listed on page 81 of the 2018 Guide Book.
