Proof Barber Dimes
1893 10C PR69 NGC. The obverse of this essentially perfect Barber dime has bold cameo contrast between the brilliant and frosty devices, and the deeply mirrored fields. Rose, violet, and blue toning provide a lovely frame for the delicate champagne center on the side. The reverse has similar contrast beneath thick violet, blue, and gold toning. This stunning example will make a wonderful addition to a type set or specialized Barber dime collection. The finest certified examples include three PR68 PCGS coins and 12 PR68 NGC coins. This is the only PR69 of the date at either service, and ranks as one of just five PR69 Barber dimes among all proof issues in the series. Census: 1 in 69, 0 finer (6/17).
