1954 50C PR68 Deep Cameo PCGS. CAC. Ex: Blue Ocean. The 1954 is another issue that is rarely encountered with profound contrast. Rick Tomaska explains in A Guide Book of Franklin and Kennedy Half Dollars:
"The 1954 Proof Franklin has always been rare in ultra or deep cameo. While nicely contrasted examples were abundant at one time, exceptional snow-white cameo coins with deep black-mirrored fields have always been rare. These latter coins can be quite spectacular in their cameo contrast and eye appeal."
