1955 50C PR68 Deep Cameo PCGS. CAC. Ex: Blue Ocean. A change in packaging and a significantly higher mintage of 378,000 proofs explain the better accessibility of the 1955 proof Franklin in high grades. All things considered, though, the issue remains rare at this ultimate grade level with Deep Cameo contrast. This is a white-on-black example, as are all the half dollar proofs from the amazing Blue Ocean Registry Set collection, with absolutely flawless surfaces.
