1879-O $1 MS65+ PCGS. CAC. The quality of this 1879-O Morgan dollar is absolutely outstanding for the assigned grade, and the additional Plus designation and green CAC approval sticker are well-earned. It is difficult to determine where this Gem lost the half point preventing a higher assessment. The obverse fields and cheek are remarkably unabraded. Only a reeding mark under the left (facing) wing is noticeable. Satiny luster cartwheels over brilliant, strongly defined surfaces with peripheral reddish-gold hues. PCGS reports 25 finer submissions, while CAC notes 74 pieces in this grade and only four finer (6/17).
