1888-O $1 Scarface, VAM-1B3, MS62 PCGS. A Top 100 Variety. A die crack travels from denticles through the dot and across the field to Liberty's cheek and jaw. VAM-1B is known is several die states, but only this late state represents the true and highly collectible Scarface variety. This MS62 example is brilliant with somewhat frosty luster. The cheek and fields are expectedly marked for the grade. Slightly soft over the centers. Population: 32 in 62, 19 finer (6/17).
