2009 $20 One-Ounce Gold Ultra High Relief Twenty Dollar MS70 Prooflike NGC. A true representation of sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens' original vision for the double was never made available to the public before these Ultra High Relief coins were issued in 2009. The circulating double eagles of 1907 to 1933 had been heavily altered by Charles Barber to meet the requirements of mass production. Only 114,427 examples were distributed through the end of 2009. This is a perfectly preserved yellow-gold representative with pristine, Prooflike surfaces. A readily appealing modern rarity.
