Early Half Dollars
1794 50C O-101, T-7, High R.3 -- Damaged -- NCS. VG Details. The centers show moderate marks and digs along with crude repair work that weakens the definition of the central devices. However, the portrait and eagle remain mostly outlined. Rims are weakened at 8 and 2 o'clock on both sides due to the repair work. On the reverse, UNITED STATES (OF) AMERICA is clear, but OF is effaced. The obverse shows LIBER(TY), the 4 in the date, and several stars plainly, but is weak on the T in LIBERTY and the 9 in the date. The Y and 17 are effaced. Steel-gray color is uniform over both sides.
