Early Half Dollars
1794 50C O-101a, T-7, High R.3, VG8 NGC. This familiar variety is the only 1794 half dollar pairing that is usually considered plentiful, ideal for type purposes. The present example is well-worn, although the eagle is outlined and Liberty's portrait shows some hair detail. Uniform steel-gray toning blankets each side. The lower obverse rim merges with the stars, but the date is clear. The reverse rim is bold.
