Bust Half Dollars
1808 50C O-108a, R.3, AU53 PCGS. A die crack at the top of the reverse legend and prominent die clashing on the obverse signify the late die state. Only a trace of wear and a few tiny marks can be located on the attractive, iridescently toned surfaces of this smooth and attractive early half. Sharp definition on the central elements yields to weakness (as usual) at the dentils, while mint luster remains across both sides.
