1809 50C III Edge, O-109a, R.2, AU55 PCGS. CAC. A Choice About Uncirculated example of an advanced die state of this popular variety, although not the latest state since there are no large broken patches at the arrowheads. A strong die crack runs through the middle of AMERICA and Liberty's top forecurl is clear of the headband. Soft mint luster remains beneath attractive lilac-gray toning, with high-point wear visible on the eagle's left wing shoulder, head, and the portrait. Only a few light marks exist anywhere on the coin. CAC endorsed with great eye appeal.
