Bust Half Dollars
1811 50C Large 8, O-104a, R.1, AU58 PCGS. Deeply iridescent multicolored toning with blue and rose overtones covers both sides of this late die state O-104a. A faint circular die crack surrounds the major devices of the obverse, while a strong radial crack through star 2 is the primary pick-up point for the variety. The die pair is rare in an earlier die state, and perhaps unknown in "prime" uncracked state. Vibrant mint luster glistens from the margins.
