Bust Half Dollars
1811 50C Small 8, O-113, R.5 -- Cleaning -- PCGS Genuine. AU Details. A challenging R.5 variety in all conditions, the O-113 always displays weak and incomplete milling and a date that leans leftward as if sliding downhill. Prominent die clashing appears on both sides. The finely granular surfaces of this bluish-gray example show the stars drawn to the edge and bifurcation of reverse legend, yet overall the coin is pleasing despite a light cleaning. We note a shallow crimp of the edge between stars 9 and 10 and at the opposing edge on the reverse.
