Bust Half Dollars
1812 50C Large 8, O-105a, R.2, AU58 PCGS. Although badly cracked, the obverse die stayed together for the balance of the O-105a marriage and then was used yet again to strike O-106. A double dentil over the second A in AMERICA confirms the O-105a pairing. This is a richly toned near-Mint example with shades of cobalt-blue, amber-gold, and forest-green surrounding silver-umber centers. Satin luster glows softly across the sharply struck surfaces that reveal only a trace of wear.
