Bust Half Dollars
1813 50C O-105, R.1, MS62 PCGS. A sharp and lustrous Mint State example which, although heavily clashed, does not show the combination of reverse die cracks that indicate the much scarcer O-105a variant. A hint of blue toning at the rims surrounds attractive buff-gold centers. The strike is deeply impressed in most regards, with star 7 a trifle incomplete at the center and characteristic weakness in the left (facing) wing feathers less apparent than often seen. Star 13 is scalloped at its outer point. Early date Bust halves are always in great demand in any Uncirculated condition. Population (all 1813 varieties): 25 in 62, 58 finer (6/17).
