Bust Half Dollars
1817 50C O-106, R.2, AU55 PCGS. Ex: Frederick Collection. A lovely example of an interesting variety. The obverse bears a highly visible die crack from the right rim to the top of Liberty's cap. The reverse features a major break under the C of the denomination and extending to the right, as well as more subtle cracks elsewhere. This piece has remarkably unabraded fields with visible clash marks and just a hint of incipient golden toning.
