Bust Half Dollars
1827 50C Square Base 2, O-114, R.3, MS62 PCGS. A dot at the top left arm of Y of LIBERTY is the key identifier for O-114, an elusive example from the list of 49 die marriages that encompass the 1827 issue. The second A in AMERICA nearly touches the top arrowhead, and the 7 in the date is recut along the outer upright. Cobalt-blue border toning surrounds lightly toned, pale-russet centers with nice mint luster beneath the rich patina.
