Bust Half Dollars
1834 50C Large Date, Small Letters, O-106, R.1, MS63 NGC. One of the unsung overpunched dates in the Capped Bust series, Overton-106 shows an awkward Large 4 over a Small 4. A bent left leg on M in AMERICA adds interest to the die pair, which is readily available in most conditions. This Select Uncirculated example is colorful and attractive with smooth-gray centers framed by vibrant blue, yellow-gold, and reddish-gold accents.
