Seated Half Dollars
1855 50C Arrows, WB-101, MS64 PCGS. CAC. Curiously undervalued by collectors, the 1855 issue represents the final year of the No Rays, With Arrows type. Just 759,500 pieces were struck -- only a fraction of the 1854 mintage, yet valued about the same. This CAC-endorsed example is a richly frosted near-Gem, with natural golden-gray toning and a sharp strike throughout both sides. Pleasing mint luster glows beneath the toning. Population: 12 in 64, 8 finer. CAC: 4 in 64, 7 finer (6/17).
