Barber Half Dollars
1910-S 50C MS65 PCGS. The 1910-S is more accessible than the 1909-S and the later San Francisco dates in the series. However, David Akers writes that it is not "in the same rarity class as any of the earlier S-mint issues from 1892-1908, or the 1911-S." Delicate golden-olive toning adheres to the border areas, leaving the centers almost fully frosted and brilliant. The devices are irregularly struck, though the tailfeathers, arrow fletchings, and left (facing) claw show bold detail. Minor field grazes define the grade. Population: 10 in 65, 19 finer (6/17).
