Franklin Half Dollars
1954-S 50C MS66+ Full Bell Lines PCGS. CAC. A study in contrasts, with a richly toned obverse (that gives the appearance of having come from a Mint Set) and a brilliant, lustrous reverse, this remarkable piece will fit in well with a high-grade set. Breen, in his Complete Encyclopedia, notes that 1954-S Franklin halves are "Often weak." This is clearly an exception, with PCGS having graded only 3 examples higher (6/17).
