Early Dollars
1795 $1 Flowing Hair, Three Leaves, B-7, BB-18, R.3, Fine 12 PCGS. Bowers Die State I, with two raised die flaws near the left ribbon end. This is a pleasing, well-circulated example of the 1795 Flowing Hair dollar with the Head of 1794 and Three Leaves reverse. Uniform olive-gray toning covers each side, yielding to occasional accents of blue and gold. The central motifs are smooth, but partial detail remains on the lower curls and the legends are clear. A small rim nick occurs above TE in UNITED.
