1802 $1 Narrow Date, B-6, BB-241, R.1, VF35 PCGS. Bowers Die State III, as usual. The broken right foot of the T in LIBERTY is the primary pickup point for the B-6, BB-241 die marriage, an excellent one for type purposes given its status as the most collectible Draped Bust dollar variety from 1798 to 1803. This marvelously original, richly toned example is strongly detailed on the hair curls, wing feathers, and shield lines. Minor flecks are concealed beneath a layer of olive and gunmetal patina. Encapsulated in a green label holder.
