Early Dollars
1803 $1 Small 3, B-1, BB-251, R.4, XF40 PCGS. CAC. Ex: Indiana Collection. Bowers Die State II. Original pewter-gray color paints the problem-free surfaces of this smooth and attractive BB-251 dollar. Liberty's portrait and the eagle are sharp, as are the right-hand obverse stars. The left-hand obverse stars exhibit a touch of weakness that is mostly masked by light high-point wear elsewhere on the coin. A few faint adjustment marks are visible near the eagle's left (facing) wingtip.
